Sales and Reservation Policy

Reservations:  Lil' Hill Farm maintains a list to reserve kids.  To reserve kid(s), the prospective buyer must submit their name and email address to be placed on the list.  No deposits are taken on kids until they are born and determined by Lil' Hill Farm to be healthy.  The first person on the reservation list will then be notified and must respond within 48 hours of the email being sent.  If no response is made within 48 hours or the potential buyer does not wish to retain the kid, then the next person on the reservation list will be notified.  A deposit to hold the kid will be required within one week of a purchase agreement.  A deposit of $50 for a buck kid and $100 for a doe kid will hold an animal for 30 days in which the buyer must arrange for pickup or transport.  

Deposits:  Deposits will be required within one week of purchase agreement.  Deposits shall be in the amount of $50.00 for bucks, and $100.00 for does.  This deposit will hold the animal for 30 days in which the buyer must arrange pickup or transport.  Animals not picked up within the 30 day period may incur a $2.00 per day boarding fee.  After 60 days, the animal will be placed back on our sales list, and any monies paid toward that animal will be forfeited by the buyer. All deposits are NONREFUNDABLE, except for illness or death of the kid.  In that instance, the deposit may be directed toward another kid or refunded, at the discretion of Lil' Hill Farm.  All sales are made on a first come first serve basis unless a reservation has been made.  Keeping buck kids intact out of first fresheners will be determined by the quality of the dam's udder after kidding.  Pregnant does will not travel during their last 6 weeks of pregnancy.

Sales/Payment:  Personal checks are accepted only on deposits or if the animal is paid for in full at least two weeks before pickup.  Cash is required if animal is paid for at pickup.  All sales are final.  We cannot guarantee the care a goat will be given once it leaves our farm and we accept no returns.

Pickup/Transport:  Kids are weaned and ready for pickup or transport at approximately 8 weeks of age.  They will have at least their first CD/T vaccination, worming, hoof trimming and be tattooed prior to pickup.  Veterinary health certificates (optional, but required by law for interstate travel) and fees charged by the Veterinarian for the farm call and animal examination and/or tests are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Pet Transport:  An alternative to air shipping your baby goat is Paws & Claws Pet Transport.  Compare their rates with other Transport services.  USDA Certified, Licensed and Insured.

GUARANTEE

Because we cannot guarantee the care given to the animals once they leave our farm, no refund or replacement will be offered unless a certified Veterinarian statement or Necropsy report states that the animal was unhealthy because of a genetic problem or circumstances that could only be caused before the buyer had taken possession of the animal, including infertility, unless the animal was sold as pet quality or wethered. 

Any illness or injury attributed to buyer care or lack thereof will not warrant return of purchase price or replacement of animal.  Any cost associated with replacement of animal, such as shipping & health certificate, will be the responsibility of buyer.

Lil' Hill Farm reserves the right to retain any kid born on our farm.
